Associate DVM

Barta Animal Hospital, conveniently named after Dr. Richard Barta, was opened in 1973. As a solo practitioner, Dr. Barta grew the practice and eventually built a brand-new hospital in 1997 where Barta remains today.

Now thriving as a 3 DVM, mixed animal hospital, Barta Animal Hospital is pleased to service pets of any shape and size! Dr. Cooper is Barta’s well known large animal doctor, focusing his services on obstetrics, herd health, numerous equine procedures and farm calls. He also very graciously cares for the local zoo animals regularly. Dr. Cooper has been a staple of Barta for the last 14 years and continues to serve the community alongside Dr. Erbe who focuses on small companion animals and pocket pets.
The practice is equipped with a hydraulic cattle chute, in house Idexx laboratory, digital x-ray and portable x-ray, brand new ultrasound and incoming digital dental x-ray. We have a very relaxed nature and easy-going staff.

We would love to welcome an additional Associate DVM who is interested in mixed animal medicine. This would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced DVM or new graduate looking for a personalized mentorship program!
